Summertime

It's summer, clothing is optional.

 Eating corn on the cob is not optional, it is a must.

We are serious corn on the cob eaters in this house. 

Scot is so serious about it, he even takes his shirt off so he can dig right in. ;-)

Thomas turns 1!

I am a major blog slacker, sorry dear friends and family. Finally here are the pictures from Thomas's 1st birthday party! It was SO much fun! Huge thanks to the grandparents for all of their help setting up.

Cousin Luke is Cool!

Thomas' second cousin, Luke, came to Boise for a visit and got to spend the day with us. Luke was such a fun buddy for Thomas. We had a great day playing and going to the zoo. Thanks for coming to visit us, Lukey!

We started the morning with a little concert.

Then it was off to the zoo. Here is Luke riding the carousal while Thomas watches.

After the carousal Luke went through the groundhog tunnel and popped up into one of the bubbles to view the groundhogs.

 Then he pet and fed the goats . . . .

Then he climbed on all of the stone animals, the elephant was his favorite. . . . 

Then he did a few sprints in the park!

He did a great job wearing Thomas out! :-)

Uncle Andrew Visits

Uncle Andrew came to visit and it was an amazing time. Thomas took right to him and would often reach out for Andrew to hold him. It was so special to see the way they bonded in such a short period of time. It could be that Uncle Andrew and Thomas share a love for the guitar. Thomas goes wild for guitars and if there is one in his sight, he clamors for it.

Shaggy to Short

The Beiber shag could only last for so long. The time finally came to give Thomas his first haircut.

The tears did not last long at all and mommy was able to keep Thomas distracted for the remainder of the cut. 

All done! Our stylist, Bailey, was awesome with Thomas!

One thing that Thomas finds super cool about the ability to move is the opportunity to keep up with Reggie. Fortunately, Reggie indulges Thomas (I think he likes the attention).

Taaa Daaa!!

After wiggling, rolling and some solid army crawling, Thomas decided to make it official and crawl for real! He still prefers the army crawl but as you can tell from my enthusiastic cheering, I think this crawling thing is super cool!

Sun Valley with my buddy

Scot had a conference in Sun Valley this weekend so Thomas and I went up there with him for some resort living. Our friends, the Wolff's, were up there too so Thomas got to hang with his buddy Alex.

Scot is the coolest dad and pulled the boys around in a wagon during apres ski at Sun Valley.

Big Time!

Life is full of new adventures and achievements for little Thomas this past week. He is officially army crawling which has Scot and I scrambling to baby proof the house and Thomas seeking out all sorts of new trouble and fun!

1st Easter

We had a beautiful Easter weekend! On Saturday we attended our friends, the Wongs, annual children's Easter egg hunt. Turns out Thomas loves plastic Easter eggs, they are the perfect size for holding and putting in his mouth.

The rest of our Easter was really nice. We went to church and then brunch with the grandparents. Scot got to watch The Masters and I did a bunch of yard work. The weather was beautiful so I loved it and the result is one nice looking front lawn. :-)
