We stayed at the Tickle Pink Inn in Carmel. Special thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Turturici for the fancy digs.
Here is the view from our room!
The bottle of wine that greeted us upon arrival.
Day 1: Spent the morning hiking at Point Lobos Reserve. I look like I have a soccer ball under my shirt. :-)
Wild poppies growing along the coast. I was in a photographers HEAVEN here!
It is harbor seal pupping season right now along the coast. The beaches were like nurseries, full of mommies and babies. As an emotional pregnant lady, I took this as a sign that we were in the perfect vacation spot. Poor Scot had to hear me coo at the baby seals.
Scot drove A LOT this weekend! He is such a trooper and a good driver, thanks babe!
While Scot drove, I played navigator. I did okay, Scot is a patient man. :-)
Next up on our day of adventure: The 17 mile drive. Known to golf enthusiasts as Mecca because it gives one the opportunity to see Spanish Bay, Spyglass and Pebble Beach golf courses. The view for everyone else isn't too shabby either.
Along the 17 Mile Drive, Scot checking out Bird Rock Island covered with barking sea lions! So cool!
Bump at the ocean.
The weather was perfect!
Scot reaches his 'happy place' - AKA The famous hole at Pebble Beach. This picture makes him look superimposed in, promise that is the real deal!
We were like paparazzi with the zoom lens to get this shot. Totally worth it!
Sarah in her 'happy place'! Also, check out that belly! :-)
